My name is Lorna Van der Stighelen and I am a Scottish Concept Artist, Game Artist and Illustrator and the Founder and Director of Little Thistle Studios Ltd.

I established the business in 2024 to help further my own career as a freelance artist and to open myself up to new opportunities.

I have been working professionally in the creative field for 7 years and as a highly experienced artist I have become very adaptable and have built up a diverse skill set.

I hold a BDes(Hons) Degree in Animation from Dundee University which was awarded in 2016, and led me into the world of digital art where I have built my career. I have undertaken PGDE Art and Design teacher training at Glasgow University, have a COSCA certificate in counselling skills from the University of the Highlands and Islands and have a Post Graduate Certificate in Pluralistic Counselling from Abertay University. I began gaining mental health qualifications as the wellbeing of any team I work with is extremely important to me and to give me the skills to be a compassionate leader as I progressed in my career.
